Controlpak Maintenance Philosophy of Diesel Engines AustraliaThe following are details of our Australian Diesel Engines Company standard Maintenance Philosophy and Service Criteria for Diesel Generating Sets, associated control systems, fuel tanks and installation wiring. recommend
that
in
house
maintenance
personnel,
if
available,
operate
a
regular
maintenance
procedure
and
log
all
visits
and
observations.
From
our
experience
we
recommend
these
visits
be
approximately
once
every
month
and
that
the
generating
sets
be
run, i) on the designated building load for the period it takes for the engine temperature to stabilize. ii) on no load for the short period it takes to observe an rise engine oil pressure. Any longer would cause the engine to slobber and leak unburned fuel oil into the exhaust system. Maintenance Philosophy Part B)We also recommend that our service and maintenance crew visit every three (3) months for a general inspection, including checking of the starter battery and charger and functional testing. Maintenance Philosophy. Part C)We also recommend that our service and maintenance crew visit every twelve (12) months for a general inspection, including checking as stated in B) above plus the changing of oil, oil filters, fuel filters and the option of a full load test on our resistive load bank. We recommend this service be done on all new contracts. The Recommended 12 Months Maintenance and Service Criteria. After notifying the installation operator and obtaining a permit to work, we would carry out the work. Should any delay be encountered in obtaining this work permit, which is outside our control, then this time would be charged separately at the normal rate. |
